Agronomist engineer

We are looking for a dedicated Agricultural Engineer to join our team. We are a company with tradition and modern vision that operates in the field of agriculture, cultivation, and marketing of fruits and vegetables. The activity takes place at the agricultural farm in Pogoanele, Buzau county.

A category B driving license is mandatory.

Interested candidates should be domiciled in Buzau or the neighboring counties: Ialomita (Urziceni, Slobozia), Bucharest NE area, Ilfov, Prahova, or Braila.

Responsibilities:

• Planning the materials needed for the preparation, establishment, maintenance, harvesting of crops;
• Producing quality biological material for the propagation of crop plants;
• Organizing and planning the activity for preparing the land for the establishment of crops and organizing the production activity of the plantation;
• Selecting agricultural inputs, including fertilizers and pesticides, according to European standards;
• Identifying and reporting any diseases or pests and applying phyto-sanitary treatment recipes;
• Coordinating the activity of the plantations and the staff under his/her supervision (permanent team and seasonal workers teams) Developing irrigation, drainage, soil enrichment plans;
• Monitoring the growth process of the plants, ensuring their nutrition and protection during the vegetation period;
• Supervising the harvesting of crops, processing and subsequent storage of them Researching and developing methods of obtaining quality products;
• Obtaining high-performance yields by improving technological procedures; Preparing reports on the results from the plantation.

Candidate profile:

• Specialized studies: Faculty of Agronomy – Agronomist Engineer or Horticultural Engineer
• Good communication and coordination skills;
• Observation, dynamism, decision-making and responsibility-taking skills;
• Computer skills (Word, Excel); Driving license category B – mandatory Willing to commute to Pogoanele, Buzau
